‘Corruption’ means the moral degradation of a person who gives undue favors to someone. This phenomenon is rampant in almost all the walks of public life. It can be seen in policies, educational institutions, government departments, offices, in trade and commerce and almost everywhere. It is a disease which has not just plagued India but can be seen across the world. Corruption has many causes. The best way to deal with this menace is to eradicate it from its roots. This requires a wholehearted support and co-operation of the people.
