We find that chalk board is the most common teaching aid used by the teacher for writing important points, drawing illustrations, solving problems etc. The teacher should keep the following points in mind to use the chalk board effectively.

Noise pollution has harmful effects on both our body and mind. The safe intensity level of sound, as prescribed by World Health Organization (WHO) is 45 dB. But in the present era, it is rarely maintained and the result is ‘Noise Pollution’.

It consists of a non-directional microphone coupled to an amplifier to transform sound wave (sound pressure level) to a proportional electric signal. It measures the RMS value of noise and can also be calibrated to measure the peak level of sound.

The noise generated in the environment can never be eliminated completely; however, it can be controlled. Many new technologies are introduced to curb noise. There are, however, some easy ways to curb noise besides introduction of new technology.
