(b) To provide basic infrastructural facilities to accelerate the pace of economic growth.

(c) To increase employment opportunities and to eliminate exploi­tation of labour.

(e) To bring about balanced regional development.

(f) The increase exports and earn more and more of foreign ex­change.

(g) To bring about an optimal allocation of resources.
