  1. There is no “means rea” in accident.
  2. Accidents are of two kinds:  (i) Culpable (ii) Inevitable.
  3. Strict liability is not imposed.
  4. It is excusable.
  5. Consequences are not foreseen.

Intention

  1. There may be “mens rea” in intention.
  2. Mens are means “guilty intention”.
  3. Strict liability is imposed.
  4. It is not excusable.
  5. Consequences can be foreseen.
