I am in receipt of your letter after a long gap of time. I am glad that your school closes for Dussehra holidays on the 22nd . It appears from your letter that you have not made any grogramme to go out this year.
Why not come to Delhi this year? Your place is hardly five hour’s Journey by Shatabdi Express and we shall have a fine time together. Delhi, as you know, is an old town. We shall see the historical buildings. You will simply be surprised to see New Delhi with its clean wide roads and towering buildings.
Moreover, Delhi is noted for the Dussehra celebrations at the Ramlila ground. Crowds of people witness the burning of the effigies of Ravana, Kumbhakarna and Meghnadh. The President of the Indian Republic, the Prime Minister and other dignitaries usually visit the place every year on the occasion. The event reminds us of the victory of good over evil. Dear friend, do make it a point to visit Delhi. We shall have a nice time together.
