Very many thanks for the Birthday Cake and the birthday gifts which you have so kindly sent me. It gave me a great deal of pleasure to receive your gifts which I shall always cherish as token of your sweet remembrance of me.
We missed you and dear Auntie and Sonu very much at the birthday party. I had so much expected you to be present. I failed to understand why you couldn’t personally come to give your kind blessings. However, I very much value the feelings expressed in your letter accompanying the birthday presents.
