Budget: Budget is the Annual financial statement presented to Parliament normally on the last day of February each year in two parts-the Railway Budget and the General Budget. The Railway Budget exclusively deals with the receipt and expenditure of the Railways and it is separately presented by the Union Railway Minister. The General Budget deals with estimates of the Departments of the Government of India excluding Railways and it is presented by the Union Finance Minister.
Note : We find nowhere in Constitution, the word, Budget. The Phrase, Annual Financial Statement is used instead of the word Budget. This word originated from French language.
